South Korean mobile phone maker Pantech appears set to bring to the market a new high-end device in the not too distant future, one that sports the model number IM-A880X, and which has just emerged in the AnTuTu benchmarking application.

The device is said to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor inside, and appears to be capable of delivering far better performance capabilities when compared to what Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa-based Galaxy S 4 has to offer.

As AndroidAuthority notes, the smartphone can perform 10 percent better when compared to what Galaxy S 4 has to offer, with a score of 30133 in AnTuTu, with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on top.

Furthermore, as the news site points out, the Snapdragon 800-powered device can best the Snapdragon 600-based Galaxy S 4 as well, if the benchmarking results are indeed accurate. Hopefully, more on this will emerge soon, so stay tuned.
