South-Korean company Pantech is currently testing an ICS-based high-end smartphone, codenamed IM-A830S. The device is expected to arrive in South Korean in the following months.

Pantech IM-A830S has been recently spotted at GLBenchmark by the folks over at Ameblo. The phone’s benchmark results confirm it will be shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board.

Furthermore, the handset is said to be equipped with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. In addition, the IM-A830S sports a large capacitive touchscreen display of unknown size, which supports HD (720 x 1196 pixels) resolution.

Rumor has it that Pantech IM-A830S will be launched in South Korea through SK Telecom. It’s unlikely that we will see this one being released outside South Korea, or at least not anytime soon.
