Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is reportedly gearing up for the launch of a new LTE-capable smartphone from Pantech.

The handset was spotted at the FCC with support for the carrier’s LTE network, and features the codename of Starq (or Star Q).

The FCC filing also shows that the smartphone, supposedly a successor for the Pantech Breakout, will arrive on shelves with WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity capabilities, and with Bluetooth 4.0.

For the time being, only a few details on what the new mobile phone will turn out to be have emerged, and we’ll have to wait for more info on the matter to become available before we can make a better idea on it.

In the meantime, however, you can have a look at the FCC documentation that has been made public so far on this mobile phone.
