The phone will probably go live soon enough

Chinese video streaming giant LeTV has recently unveiled three smartphones which boast almost bezeless displays and look quite impressive.

It seems this is the trend that's going to be adopted by handset makers coming out of China and not only - we’re going to see less and less bezels.

A few weeks ago, we told you that a few images showing an upcoming Oppo model with a remarkable bezeless display popped up online.

Since then, it was revealed that the name of the handset would be Oppo R7 and the phone would sport a 5.5-inch display. Apparently, the device should be a high-end affair, arriving with a 0.19 inch / 4.85 mm frame.

If word on the street is to believed, the phone should take advantage of a 64-bit octa-core MT6795 processor from MediaTek and a 20.7MP back snapper.

We were arguing before that Oppo’s bezeless phone that leaked online might be a prototype, but given the latest images found on Weibo, we’d have to guess that the phone is bound to become a real product soon.

A recent patent has revealed that Oppo is utilizing a special technology that diffracts light towards the edge of the physical display in order to create the illusion that no bezel is present whatsoever.
