The latest version features lots of improvements and bug fixes

Chromium, the open source project that powers Google Chrome and Opera desktop browsers has finally landed on Android platform in the form of an update for Opera browser beta.

Aside from the fact that Opera browser beta is now based on Chromium 28, the application now features an enhanced startup-time and improved tab-UI animations.

Developers also added a new video control to download the video and there’s also a new “open in private tab” context menu.

Improvements and lots of bug fixes to fullscreen web pages have been included in the latest update as well, along with general stability improvements.

According to the official changelog memory leaks have been addressed and the following issues have been corrected:

- Fix for bug causing Opera to crash after system language was changed; - Fix for bug causing Opera to randomly display a black screen.

Opera browser beta 15.0.1162.59192 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.3 and later. Check it out here.
