The popular service announced on Twitter that it would allow you to stream some of the best TV shows currently airing, free of charge. This includes Constantine, Gotham, The Mindy Project, South Park, Once Upon a Time, Modern Family, Sleepy Hollow and a lot more.
Naturally, Hulu has a bigger picture in mind. It hopes that this freebie will give you a taste of the app’s perks, so you’ll choose to update to Hulu Plus. This version includes having your pick at 100,000 episodes of current and classic TV series.
Choosing to upgrade will take $7.99 / €6.42 out of your pocket, but you get unlimited access. Anyway, all you need to do to take advantage of the holiday offer is go to Google Play store, find the Hulu app and install it on your Android handset or tablet, which is pretty clever.
Once onboard your device, you’ll probably be a lot more tempted to tap on upgrade and thus become a paying subscriber of Hulu Plus.
The promotion is part of the “Share the Joy of the Season” scheme Hulu has set up for you during this holiday seasons, which will let you watch episodes just a day after the originally aired in the US.
