LG Spectrum was officially unveiled back in January and hit shelves at Verizon Wireless on the same date.

The smartphone was launched with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system out of the box, but now new details emerged, confirming that LG plans to update the Spectrum to Android 4.0.

An official Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for LG Spectrum has just leaked online via XDA Developers, which points to a possible release at Verizon in the following weeks.

There’s no telling whether or not this is the final build of the update, but LG Spectrum owners can check for themselves what new features and improvements this ROM brings.
