The new software release brings other features as well

A new software version is now available for download for the owners of OPPO Find 7a devices out there, providing them with a nice range of enhancements over the previously available firmware on the device.

Following the update, users will see their devices running under ColorOS 1.2.1i, although the operating system remains Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The update will arrive on smartphones over the air, weighing around 290MB.

As mentioned above, the update comes with some appealing enhancements inside, such as a Voiceprint unlock feature, complemented by support for smart cover.

Additionally, the firmware brings E-warranty card registration, while also offering a series of power consumption optimizations for network switching.

The power-on sound has been removed in the new release, and there is also an optimized MTP mode, with improved speed when copying multiple small files.

Moreover, the update resolves an issue with the screen not turning on automatically after call ended, and another with the stock music player unable to search for .ogg format files.

Another change in the new software is related to the alarm clock, the release notes available courtesy of soyacincau unveil: “when using powered off alarm clock, decreased the auto power on time from 2 minutes to 40 seconds before the alarm rings.”
