A new flavor of the Display+Touch application is now available for download for the owners of Windows Phone 8-based Nokia Lumia handsets, namely version 1.6.

The application was updated mainly with various bug fixes, but there is also a new feature that users will enjoy when installing it, namely support for a quick mode in Glance settings.

Basically, the update brings along a peek option for the Glance Screen (which is enabled when the display is locked), allowing users to have a look at the relevant info that should be displayed there through simply hovering / waving their hand above the device.

The feature takes advantage of the phone’s proximity sensor, and will turn the display on for 15 seconds to display Glance.

To learn more on the matter, simply download or update the app on your Lumia handset and start playing with the feature.
