It looks like Nokia is changing everything on the go these days. With only four months until Nokia World 2012 kicks off, the Finnish company is now saying it will hold the event much earlier.

Initially scheduled to take place in Helsinki on September 25-26, it has just been moved to September 5-6. According to Nokia, we should “think less CES, more SXSW.”

The Finnish company also confirmed it had changed the format of the event. So instead of a single large-scale one, it will hold several smaller, “more intimate” events aimed at different targets.

The first Nokia World 2012 event, which is now set for September 5-6, will be mainly aimed at operator and retail partners. However, additional events will be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more updates on the subject.
