On Tuesday, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia announced the availability of a new software update for the owners of a Nokia Lumia 820 smartphone on the network of wireless carrier AT&T: the 1314 update.

“AT&T Lumia 820 SW Update 1232.5962.1314.0001 now available. Go to settings > phone update > check for updates,” the company posts on Twitter.

The new software release is expected to provide users with better automatic display brightness adjustment, as well as with improvements for connectivity issues in certain network conditions.

Furthermore, the company notes that, following the update, users will no longer see intermittent screen blanking during a call, and that they will also benefit from better performance capabilities on their devices.

Users interested in learning more on the update and on how to install it on their devices should head over to this page on Nokia’s support website.
