Mobile phone carrier Three UK has just confirmed plans to make the Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone available for its customers, though they did not offer a specific release date for the new device.

The Windows Phone smartphone is already up for pre-order on Three UK's website, as well as via the carrier's brick and mortar stores, or by calling 0800 358 3208.

The new device arrives on the market with the Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) operating system on board, as well as with a 3.7-inch OLED curved glass screen and with a 1.4GHz application processor.

“The Lumia 800 really takes [Nokia's] smartphone portfolio to the next level, and it’s an exciting nod to the kind of devices we’ll see coming from them in the future. People are packed into this venue and there are smiles all round. It’s safe to say that no one here [at Nokia World] seems disappointed,” Three's Sylvia Chind notes.
