Nokia’s first Windows Phone, the Lumia 800, has seen a steep price cut in the UK today. The handset is available via online retailer argos.co.uk for only £119.99 ($185 /144 Euros), contract free and unlocked.

Running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone Mango operating system, the new mobile phone has a great deal of appealing features to offer to its users.

It packs an 8MP camera on the back, along with a 3.7-inch screen and a 1.4GHz application processor inside and 16GB of flash memory.

The smartphone also comes with the Internet Explorer 9 Mobile, Xbox LIVE integration and Microsoft’s Office tools for mobile, as well as with specific Nokia applications and services, including Nokia Drive and Nokia Music.

Currently, the Nokia Lumia 800 is available for purchase in the UK for much more via other retailers in the UK. Argos has it at £449.99 ($699 / 541 Euros) usually. It’s uncertain for how long the reduced price tag will be in place. Update: Apparently, Argos has posted the wrong price on its website. They have confirmed it on Facebook: "Hi Phil, this is a pricing issue and any orders that have been placed at the incorrect price will be canceled. I am sorry for the inconvenience."
