AT&T customers will be pleased to know the carrier is now rolling out a small update for Nokia Lumia 1520 that is supposed to improve the general performance of the smartphone along with user’s overall experience.

There aren’t too many details regarding the changes included in the update, but according to WMPoweruser those who received the update will notice their firmware has been bumped to version 1028.3534.1347.2001.

There’s also a small chaneglog that confirms the update includes “general performance and usability improvements,” but other than that no additional details have been disclosed by either Nokia or AT&T.

However, Nokia Lumia 1520 users that already downloaded and installed the update claim their smartphones are now slightly faster while browsing through menus. Everything seems to be snappier since the update, so if you did not install it yet by all means do so now.

The update is likely to be rolled out in stages, so if you haven’t been notified yet you can manually check for it by going to Settings / Phone update.

Make sure your phone’s battery is at least 50% charged before attempting to update and that your Lumia 1520 is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. Obviously, you can also download via AT&T’s network if you’re anxious to check the results.
