Not only were the full specs of the Nokia Lumia 1020 unveiled to the world before the official announcement in New York City later today, but info on the possible price tag that this device might feature when released also emerged, suggesting that it would be rather pricy.

According to a recent post on WPCentral, the upcoming device will land on the market at $699 (€532) contract-free, despite the fact that it had been spotted previously in a Microsoft Store inventory at only $602 (€458).

What’s even more interesting is the fact that Lumia 1020 is expected to be launched on two-year contracts at AT&T with a price tag of $299 (€228) attached to it.

As WPCentral notes, the handset will be aimed at a specific group of customers, but it will still bring more attention to the Windows Phone 8 platform.
