Good news for Windows Phone enthusiasts in Australia as Nokia has just announced that the world’s best camera phone, the Lumia 1020, will arrive in the country on September 17.

According to MyNokiaBlog, Nokia Lumia 1020 will be available for purchase at Telstra beginning September 16 and at Optus from October 1.

The smartphone will also hit shelves at major retailers across the country, including Dick Smith, Allphones and Harvey Norman. Those who wish to grab it will have to come up with no less than AUD$899 (€625/$820) upfront.

The Lumia 1020 will be available in black, white and yellow, but word is that only Harvey Norman will stock all three color options, while both Telstra and Optus will only sell the black variant at launch.

Other accessories for the smartphone, such as the camera grip and wireless charging case, will also be available for purchase in Australia from October.
