Nokia has managed to obtain an injunction against HTC One mini, which will see the smartphone banned from sales in the UK effective December 6.

Bloomberg reports that a London judge has ruled that HTC will not be able to sell the One mini in the UK from December 6, as the smartphone has been found to infringe more than one patent owned by the Finnish company.

Moreover, the same judge has ruled that the HTC One also infringes on some Nokia patents, but has decided against blocking the phone’s sales in the UK.

The reason behind Judge Richard Arnold’s decision is based on the fact that blocking sales of both smartphones would hurt HTC “considerably.” However, the injunction against HTC One is still on the table, but the Taiwanese handset maker has been given the chance to appeal.

According to Nokia’s officials, HTC has agreed not to import the HTC One and One mini into the UK pending the appeal. Stay tuned for more updates on this one.
