Nokia is clearly determined to assault the US market, and the release of more LTE-capable devices appears to be the means it will use for that.

The leading Finnish mobile phone maker has just opened a Smart Lab testing and development center in Mountain View, a recent article on GigaOm reads.

This is the fifth such facility the company has around the world, though it is said to be the only one of them to be focused on LTE connectivity.

Moreover, the company is reportedly using a new tool in this facility. Called Smart Lab Performance Advisor, it offers info on the manner in which apps and devices affect the carriers’ networks.

The tool will arrive at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, where Nokia Siemens Networks plans on offering demoes on its capabilities.
