Back in February, Nokia made official its cheapest handset to date, the Nokia 105, a basic phone currently rumored to be route to India in April, featuring a price tag of only Rs 1,200 ($22/€17).

Although packing only support for a small number of features, the handset will provide users with a 1.4-inch LCD Transmissive display, 8MB of internal memory, a flashlight, and FM Radio.

The most appealing feature of this device, however, is its 800 mAh battery, which is said to be able to offer up to 12.5 hours of talk time, or up to 35 days of standby time on a single charge. Nokia 105 also packs 384KB of RAM and measures 107 X 44.8 X 14.3 mm.

Given its low price tag and long battery life, the Nokia 105 might prove a successful device in India, where the mobile market is dominated by feature phones, as BGR India notes in a recent post.
