The next Google phone seems set to become official as soon as next week during an event that Google and Samsung will hold in Hong Kong.
We already heard rumors that the said device, supposedly called Nexus Prime, might become official on that day, and things have been already confirmed.
Google and Samsung made an official announcement on their plans to hold an event in Hong Kong on that day through sending press invites out in the wild.
The event is clearly related to Ice Cream Sandwich (the invite AllThingsDigital received is proof of that) and, since both Samsung and Google will be present there, it can be only assumed that Nexus Prime will become official there.
The news site notes that Android chief Andy Rubin will speak at their AsiaD conference which will kick off soon after. A top Samsung executive will also be there.
