Owners of a Nexus S smartphone from Samsung who run into issues with their devices and need to wipe them clean can now do so while still having Android 4.1.1 loaded on them.

Google has made available for download new Android images for both the Nexus S and Nexus S 4G, enabling users to fix their handsets through reverting them to factory settings, should they need to do so.

The bits are based on Android 4.1.1, and images come as JRO03L and JRO03R for Nexus S (international) and Nexus S 4G, respectively.

Those who would like to download these will have to head over to Google’s support website for that.

Unfortunately, no Jelly Bean factory image is available for the Korean version of the mobile phone, but Google might be working on that too, so keep an eye on this space for more info.
