It looks like AT&T and NEC plan to launch a new Android smartphone, the Terrain. Judging by the name of the phone, this should be a rugged handset, but there are no details on this aspect yet.

NEC Terrain has recently emerged via evleaks, but there is no info on the phone’s specs sheet yet. However, thanks to the press render leaked online, we can see that the device features a full QWERTY keyboard that makes it look like an old BlackBerry smartphone.

It appears that NEC Terrain is powered by Android operating system, probably Ice Cream Sandwich or an older version.

The handset bears AT&T’s logo on the front side, as well as a rear-facing camera with LED flash. It packs a capacitive touchscreen of unknown size and probably a front-facing camera. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
