One of the features that has been recently rumored to be planned by Motorola for its yet unofficial X Phone lineup (the one developed under Google's arm) is the option to customize specific hardware inside smartphones.
Believed to be nothing more than a rumor for the time being, the feature might actually be included in the company’s future lineup, should clues that have been recently posted online be interpreted correctly.
A recent Google+ post from Motorola’s Guy Kawasaki mentions the possibility of being able to customize a handset before purchase just as car buyers can do when considering the acquisition of a specific model.
As Droid-life notes, this can be seen as a hint at the aforementioned feature in Motorola’s X Phones, though nothing has been officially confirmed on the matter for the time being. Stay tuned to learn more on this.
