A new mobile phone from Motorola has received the necessary certification from the Bluetooth SIG, namely the Motorola XT938G.

The handset emerged on the certification website today, featuring support for BT profiles HFP1.6, HSP1.2, A2DP1.2, AVRCP1.3 TG, FTP1.0 Server, HID1.0, OPP1.2, PBAP1.1, PAN1.0, and MAP1.0, meaning that it is a Bluetooth 4.0 smartphone.

As Blog of Mobile notes, the device appears to be a version of the Moto G smartphone aimed at the North American market, though no specific details on what it would have to offer have emerged as of now.

However, given the fact that some handsets usually receive approvals from Bluetooth SIG only several weeks before becoming official, it might not be too long by the time we’ll see Motorola formally introducing the XT938G. Keep an eye on this space to learn additional info on the matter.
