Mobile phone maker Motorola has added its Moto X smartphone to the list of phone models supported in its Bootloader Unlock program, though only the version that is being sold at the moment in Canada on Rogers’ network.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the aforementioned list already includes devices that are available for purchase in the United States and Canada at the moment, including the RAZR HD, Photon Q 4G LTE, and Droid RAZR.

Unfortunately, Rogers’ Moto X is the first version of the new mobile phone to have been added to the program. US variants set to hit shelves at US Cellular, Sprint, and T-Mobile are also expected to be included there.

As AndroidPolice notes, the Bootloader Unlock program is meant to provide users with the possibility to easily unlock their devices, so as to root them and install custom software on them.
