US Cellular customers will be happy to know Motorola has just announced the immediate availability of the long-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Electrify 2.

According to Motorola, the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in waves, so not all Electrify 2 owners might get it at the same time.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update brings lots of new features and improvements, such as Google Now, expanded notifications and voice search.

With Google Now, users will be able to get notifications generated automatically and in real-time. The new application can deliver sports scores, weather reports, traffic update, movie showtimes and many more.

The expanded notifications enables users to receive reminders about meetings or appointments from their calendar.

Those who have yet to be notified on the availability of the update can search for it manually by going to Settings / About phone / System updates.
