Motorola fans rejoice, as the US-based handset maker is expected to release its first phablet sometime in Q3 2014.

The current information follows other few-months-older rumors that claimed that Motorola had a 6.3-inch Xplay phablet in the works, which was supposed to go official soon after the Moto X.

However, due to unknown reasons, the launch of the phablet has been pushed back several months, though we thought that Motorola had scrapped any plans to release it.

The folks over at GforGames report that the same source that leaked info regarding the upcoming reveal of the Moto X, Moto G and Motorola's smartwatch is now claiming that the handset maker will go ahead with the release of the previously rumored Xplay phablet.

However, this time, there aren’t any mentions either of the phablet's name or of the size of the display, so Motorola might have been working to make it bigger or smaller than 6.3 inches.

The smartphone will probably be launched under a different name than the Motorola Xplay, though the information has yet to be confirmed.

No other details on Motorola's phablet have been leaked, but we expect more info to emerge in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
