Motorola and Verizon appear determined to kick off a new set of updates for the owners of Moto X devices, one that would provide users with all the benefits that Android 4.4.2 KitKat was announced with.

Apparently, some lucky users have already started to see the new platform version on their smartphones (as posted on Reddit), which suggests that the two companies are on the brink of starting the general rollout.

No official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now, but chances are that Motorola will unveil specifics on its plans in the not too distant future.

Moto X is already running under the Android 4.4 KitKat, yet Motorola has confirmed that the 4.4.2 update will be delivered to it, with some bug fixes and a patch for the phone’s battery drain, as PhoneArena notes.
