Good news for Android users in the United States, as Microsoft has just announced its Bing application has just received a major update that brings some cosmetic and performance improvements.

Two updates for Bing for Android were rolled out earlier this week, both of which added some visual changes, as well as some optimizations meant to enhance users overall experience.

According to Microsoft, the changes in the last update are not just cosmetic, as the performance of the application has been greatly improved.

Long time users of the application will be able to tell Bing is now much faster than any of the previous versions. But there is more to it.

Developers also confirmed that Bing Rewards uses will be pleased to know there's now a new way to track their points natively within the application. This way users will be able to check their progress faster and much easier.

Last but not least, Microsoft confirmed Bing for Android will receive additional updates in the not so distant future, so stay tuned for more on this.

You can now download Bing Search for Android for free via Google Play Store. Keep in mind the application should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 2.2 and up.
