Photographers and Windows Phone fans will be pleased to know Microsoft has just updated its BLINK application with lots of new features and improvements.

First and foremost, the latest version of BLINK features better stabilization. Developers confirm they have improved image alignment in order to keep BLINK sequences free from jitter and shake.

In addition, the application now automatically triggers the focus based on face detection and phone motion. BLINK users will now be able to export animated GIFs to Skydrive from the share menu.

With the new metadata feature, all pictures saved to camera roll will have the timestamp and location information in the image EXIF properties.

You can now download BLINK for Windows Phone 2.2 for free via Windows Phone Store. Keep in mind that the application is only compatible with devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
