Now that Google has taken the wraps off its next version of Android, Microsoft seems to be determined to step up the game as well with a new announcement.

During a 2-hour podcast, Jerry Berg, Senior Software Development Engineer in Test at Microsoft, unofficially teased a major announcement from the Redmond-based company, which is supposed to blow us away.

He said that “something is going to happen in the Windows Phone space which is going to upset the entire world across anything” and that fans should wait for it as it will be “pretty amazing.”

Berg also said that when he heard about Microsoft’s upcoming plans, he instantly asked if his company could really do that. We assume it can, given the fact that the Redmond is about to share the details with the world, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Unfortunately, Berg was pretty firm in the fact that he can’t give more details on what’s this all about, so feel free to let loose your imagination in the comments section.

For those who want to hear it directly from Jerry Berg, you can watch the podcast embedded below. The interesting stuff starts around minute 15, but feel free to watch the entire video.
