The Lumia 540 Dual SIM was officially introduced in India last week and Microsoft promised the smartphone would go on sale on May 18.

As expected, customers can now get the smartphone for only Rs 10,199 outright, which is about $160 or €140. But there's even more to this, as Microsoft has some interesting offers that go with the Lumia 540 Dual SIM.

For example, Airtel will offer consumers double the data free for 2 months on every purchase of the new Lumia 540 Dual SIM, while Ganaa.com offers 2 months free subscription, including unlimited music downloads.

Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM is now available in India in different colors such as Black, White, Orange and Glossy Cyan.

The smartphone ships with Windows Phone 8.1 onboard. It packs 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

The mid-range handset sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. It also packs an 8-megapixel rear-facing photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and 480p video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front.

Lumia 540 Dual SIM comes with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB), and 2,220 mAh removable battery.
