Microsoft has just released a small tool for Android devices that allows users to create their own applications directly on a phone or tablet.

Dubbed TouchDevelop, the application offers users the possibility to write code and interact with other users in a web browser on different devices, such as phone and tablets powered by Android, iOS and Windows Phone, as well as Mac, Windows tablets, laptops and PCs.

Users can upload their own pictures and sounds, as well as create and reuse code with libraries. Microsoft also provides devs with the options to submit their newly created apps to Windows Store and Windows Phone Store.

You can now download TouchDevelop for Android for free via Google Play Store. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0.3 and up.
