Users in the United States and Canada interested in getting rid of their older smartphones and grabbing some Microsoft Store credit for them can now head over to local Microsoft retail stores for that.

The company has announced on its website that users can now trade in their older handset to receive up to $250 (€185) of store credit for it. The offer is limited, so you should hurry up to take advantage of it.

According to Microsoft, the promotion will run from February 2, 2014 until March 2, 2014, while supplies last, and is available in select Microsoft retail stores in the US (including Puerto Rico) and Canada.

“To be eligible for trade in, product must power on and be in fully functional, working condition without broken/missing components, cracked display/housing or liquid damage, cannot be password protected, and include original chargers/accessories,” Microsoft also notes.

The deal is valid for tablets as well. You can learn more on the matter on this page at Microsoft.
