Microsoft rolled out a small update yesterday for Lumia 930 devices, which is meant to fix some random reboot issues that seem to be more widespread than we have originally thought.

Many Lumia 930 owners reported their phones were affected by an issue that caused their phones to periodically restart.

Well, it looks like the Lumia 930 is not the only smartphone that randomly reboots, as Microsoft is now pushing the same critical update to additional Lumia models.

According to WindowsCentral, three other Microsoft smartphones are now getting the update in India: Lumia 730, Lumia 830, and Lumia 1520.

The official changelog mentions that this is an important update, as it fixes a critical issue that may cause the device to periodically reboot, as mentioned above.

Since Microsoft strongly recommends users to download and install this update, if you own one of the affected smartphones, you should check for its availability.

After applying it, your phone's OS version will be upgraded to 8.10.14234.375, while the firmware version will be bumped to 02040.00021.15063.02004.

Keep in mind that there are no other changes like new features or improvements included in this update, just a fix for this particular critical issue.

We will continue to report on this particular problem if Microsoft decides to push the update to other smartphones, so stay tuned.
