When the Micromax Yuphoria smartphone launched in India last month, we told you that the device ran Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

We also shared with you the fact that the company was planning to launch another major update for the phone, in the form of Cyanogen OS 12.2 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. But while we wait on that, Micromax is rolling out a new Cyanogen OS 12.0 update for the Yuphoria phone.

This is an incremental update which brings some improvements into the picture. It appears that some owners of the Yuphoria smartphone have been complaining about overheating issues, and the new Cyanogen OS 12.0 build should take care of that.

The camera app has also been tweaked to sustain the production of better low light images and macro shots. Truecaller integrated Dialer has also made to be more touch sensitive. A bunch of revised audio chipset codes have also been added to boost bass lines and the overall audio experience.

The new update weighs about 38MB and will be arriving on Yuphoria handsets in the upcoming 2 to 3 weeks.

We’re also told on the Yuplaygod forums that the Cynoagen OS 12.1 update should be making it out for the Yuphoria and Yureka handsets as soon as it passes the final testing phase.
