Micromax’s dual-core smartphone, the A85 was launched in India more than a month ago for a suggested retail price of $380 (275 EUR).
However, it appears that the regional handset manufacturer slashed almost $100 (75 EUR) off the phone’s original retail price.
Android fans living in India can now purchase the Superfone A85 for only Rs 15,290 (290 USD or 220 EUR) outright.
Those unfamiliar with the phone’s specs sheet should know that the device is equipped with a dual core processor clocked at 1 GHz, a 5-megapixel camera, and a 3.8-inch capacitive touchscreen that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.
Unfortunately, the smartphone is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, though there are rumors that the handset maker will push Gingebread sometime in the not so near future.
