Last week, a new Android-based handset from Micromax was spotted online, in the form of Micromax Canvas Gold A300, and the device is already available for purchase in India today, it seems.

The mobile phone went up for grabs through online retailer Infibeam.com and can be grabbed for no less than Rs. 23,999, as Android OS reports.

The price tag that this handset comes with might seem a bit high, but its hardware specs certainly make it worth every penny.

Micromax Canvas Gold A300 was released with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution, a 2GHz octa-core processor (supposedly a MediaTek CPU), and 2GB of RAM.

Moreover, the phone comes with 32GB of internal storage, the usual set of connectivity capabilities, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G, GPS receiver, and dual-SIM capabilities.

The new handset also sports a 16-megapixel Sony camera on the back, with auto-focus, LED flash, and full HD video recording capabilities, as well as a 5-megapixle front camera for making video calls.

Micromax included a 2300mAh battery inside the new device, while loading the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system on top of it.

The new Micromax Canvas Gold A300 hasn’t been officially announced as of now, but it should not be too long before that happens, so keep an eye on this space for additional details on it.
