Last week, Indian mobile phone maker Micromax made available for purchase a new Android-based handset in its homeland market, in the form of Micromax Canvas Duet AE90, which is now up for grabs via more retailers, even cheaper than before.

Last week, the phone was listed online exclusively at eBay India, with a price tag of Rs 9,299 ($155 / €115), contract-free.

Today, users in the country can purchase the Micromax Canvas Duet AE90 from Infibeam and Snapdeal, while having to pay only Rs. 8,545 ($142/€104) for it, as AndroidOS reports.

The smartphone arrives on shelves with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a qHD (960 x 540 pixels) resolution, as well as with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor inside.

Moreover, it was released with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

On the back, Micromax Canvas Duet AE90 features a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash, complemented by a VGA front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The specs list of this device also includes an 1800mAh battery, dual-SIM capabilities, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a built-in GPS receiver. The mobile phone runs under the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box.
