McAfee has recently updated its security solution for Android devices with new features and support for more smartphones and tablets.

In fact, the most important change is the addition of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean support, which expands the availability of the application to a much larger number of devices.

Developers have also added a new Apps Lock feature, which allows users to lock apps with sensitive content to protect their privacy. Some tweaks to the user interface have been included as well, in order to make it more streamline.

Last but not least, some performance improvements including decreased memory usage, better battery utilization and faster scan times have been added in the update.

McAfee Antivirus & Security 2.3.1.559 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
