An updated version of the MapQuest application is now available for download for Android devices out there, namely version 2.0.

Courtesy of high-resolution vector maps, the application delivers improved quality and resolution, while also providing users with enhanced zoom features and new cartography.

The new app release arrives with a redesigned user interface, now displaying traffic conditions on route, so as to keep users informed on the traffic ahead: red means heavy traffic, yellow means better conditions.

Additionally, the new app release comes with some eye-catching map styling, as well as with custom home/work bookmarking.

Furthermore, MapQuest for Android has been redesigned to deliver road alerts, while also featuring location sharing capabilities, audio mute, and advanced search functionality.

You can download MapQuest for Android from Softpedia today. The application is free to grab and install on all Android 2.2 and newer devices.
