Scottish developer Mental Universe is about to debut one of the most interesting endless runners available on mobile platforms, M0B1US (pronounced “mobius”). Many games in this genre cause addiction, but few manage to bring something new into the mix.

Mental Universe pretends that its upcoming title offers that uniqueness that would make M0B1US stand out from the plethora of endless runner games available on all three major platforms, namely Android, iOS, and Windows Phone.

The innovation of M0B1US comes from the fact that it will allow players to run along the bottom of the screen initially, before running up the side, along the top, and then back down the opposite side. During this time players will have to jump and slide over various obstacles generated randomly.

To make it clearer, Mental Universe released a short trailer that shows the game in action and how you can run on all sides of the screen using one-touch controls.

M0B1US features Game Center leaderboards, an excellent futuristic techno soundtrack, and it’s been optimized to run smoothly on iPhone 5s and 5c.

Keep in mind that M0B1US will be available for download via App Store beginning April 10. The game won’t come free, but it’s not too expensive either, as developers priced it at £0.69 / $0.99.
