Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has been long rumored to plan the launch of a new high-end smartphone in the Windows Phone-based Lumia lineup.

It might hit shelves at Verizon as the Lumia 928, and it seems that the company is already testing it in the field.

In fact, a store clerk claims in a Reddit post that he’s had the chance not only to see the device in the hands of a user, but also to play with it for a bit.

The Nokia Lumia 928 is said to arrive on shelves with a thinner and lighter design when compared to the Nokia Lumia 920, though it will sport the same polycarbonate finish.

The upcoming device is also said to feature an edge-to-edge touchscreen display, and to be set for launch in the not too distant future.
