Earlier this month, Chinese mobile phone maker Lenovo officially announced the upcoming availability of Lenovo Golden Warrior A8, a new Android 4.4 KitKat-based handset, and the company has revealed some additional details on the phone’s specs today.

The handset will hit shelves with a 5-inch IPS OGS display capable of delivering an HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution, while being powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, paired with Mali-450 MP4 graphics.

The smartphone also features 2GB of RAM, along with 16 GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The Golden Warrior A8 arrives on the market with a 13-megapixel camera on the back, with dual-LED flash and full HD video recording, while also featuring a 5-megapixel front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Additionally, the new Lenovo smartphone was unveiled with 4G LTE connectivity, along with the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS receiver. The handset measures 140.5 x 70.5 x 8.99mm, weighs 160 grams, and runs under Android 4.4 KitKat.

The device is set to become available for purchase in July 18 via JD.com, yet it seems that Weibo users will be able to purchase it starting July 14.

Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 will be released at $128 (€94) for the China Mobile version. Users will also be able to purchase it on China Unicom’s network, at $144 (€106).
