Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion is reportedly gearing up for the release of new OS upgrades for the BlackBerry Torch 9810 and 9860 smartphones.

Owners of these devices can now download and install unofficial builds of the BlackBerry 7.1 OS, the latest reports around the web suggest.

Unfortunately, no specific info has emerged for the time being on what the new OS 7.1.0.190 brings along to RIM’s latest Torch handsets.

Those who would like to download and install the newly leaked OS for BlackBerry Torch 9810 and 9860 should keep in mind that this is not an official release.

Users choosing to install the OS will be the only ones to be held responsible if anything goes wrong during the installation process. You can learn more on how to install an unofficial OS on a BlackBerry device via n4bb.
