Microsoft is currently king of the castle while Windows Phone handsets are concerned, but other manufacturers are also interested in building devices taking advantage of the OS.

And according to recent information provided by the folks at AdDuplex, LG might be looking to jump back on board with Windows Phone.

They already stumbled upon a possible candidate going by model number LGW820. But before you jump for joy, I’ll have to burst your bubble and tell you that the device isn't exactly a beast.

It comes equipped with a 4.7-inch display with 480 x 854 pixel resolution, which isn't a lot compared to what smartphones today can offer.

The news that LG is trying to re-enter the Windows Phone market doesn't come as a shock, because some time ago we heard of the LG D635 model, which was supposed to take advantage of this mobile OS.

We don’t know if LG has plans of launching the device anytime soon, but given that CES 2015 is just around the corner, we might get to see the handset in question make a surprise appearance at the event. Who knows at this point?

Last time LG released a Windows Phone handset, we were in 2010 when the company rolled out the Optimus 7 and AT&T Quantum device.

So it’s about time LG makes a comeback in the world of Windows Phone, right?
