South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has just announced plans to launch a new device in the United States on December 1st, but kept mum on what would actually be unveiled on that day.

However, rumor has it that the previously rumored LG Nitro HD might be the star of the event, and that AT&T's customers will be those to benefit the most from the release.

For those out of the loop, we should note that LG Nitro HD is said to be the AT&T flavor of Optimus LTE, and that it should arrive on shelves with a 1,280 x 720 HD display.

The guys over at Engadget received the invite attached to this post, and say that the name of the file was clearly hinting at this Android device, since it was called LG Nitro.
