Last week, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics unveiled to the world its largest smartphone to date, the LG Optimus Vu, which packs a five-inch IPS screen capable of delivering an XGA resolution (768 x 1024 pixels).

The handset, said to be larger than the Samsung Galaxy Note that packs a 5.3-inch screen, is also very slim, measuring only 8.5mm thick.

At the same time, it can deliver great performance capabilities courtesy of a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor complemented by 1GB of RAM.

The phone’s specs also include 32GB of internal storage and an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with a 1.3 camera on the front. A 2,080mAh battery powers the device.

The LG Optimus Vu sports LTE connectivity and was packed with note taking functionality, the same as Samsung’s large Galaxy Note before it, though it lacks a stylus. The video above should offer more info on the matter.
