Photos of an unannounced LG Optimus U1 with the Ice Cream Sandwich logo attached to it have just surfaced.

Although the Korean handset manufacturer is struggling to offer its customers the highly-anticipated Android 4.0 upgrade for all its high-end Gingerbread devices, it looks like LG already planned its roadmap for the next year.

The LG Optimus U1, leaked courtesy to the guys over at GSMArena, is allegedly the company's first Ice Cream Sandwich device and will be announced sometime next year.

No information on the phone's specs sheet or exact release date emerged yet, but we can assume that LG will announce the Optimus U1 in January 2012.

Even though the authenticity of the photo cannot be confirmed, it's safe to say that LG will surely be among the first handset makers to announce its Ice Cream Sandwich devices at 2012 CES trade fair (January 10-13).
