Canadian mobile phone carrier TELUS is expected to add LTE smartphones to its offering in the near future, and the LG Optimus LTE is said to be the very first of them.

The company hasn’t yet announced official details on the availability of this device, but it is expected to launch it before the Galaxy Note, which was formally introduced.

According to MobileSyrup, the new device has already started to arrive at TELUS’ locations, which clearly shows that its launch date is near.

Optimus LTE will be accompanied on the wireless carrier’s 4G network by devices such as Galaxy Note, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, and the Ovation MC679 4G LTE Mobile Internet Key, it seems.

One other piece of info that emerged on TELUS’ LTE roadmap is that it will leave existing TELUS data rate plans unchanged even after the launch of 4G LTE services.
